Chronicles of Decay
Azdiel faces wide-scale war, and the kingdoms which control it’s borders steadily decline in patience with one another. Since the conclusion of the Black Lance Crusade, the relations between nations has barely sufficed as armistice. After the demise of the Fiendish Emperor: Dal’Ganon, the Council of Four Crowns managed a decent coexistence of Azdiel’s various cultures. Though tension soon escalated to teeter before total conflict, and the world’s leaders now strive blindly into yet another war.
But some have noticed a separate threat looming on the horizon. Small settlements lose entire farms due to frightening decay, and the global death rate has increased by notable margins. Men are driven mad by no discernible source, and the level of fertility in Azdiel has suffered negative influence.
Each kingdom blames each other for the blights — quick to point fingers as affected by their own confusion with rants of poisoned water and food, assassins and necromancers. But investigations yield little result, and tensions continue to rise. Contempt continues to breed, and oblivion appears to follow…
